Summary: Amy Jo rarely asked Carl for any favours, so when she'd told him her little brother was arriving that afternoon while she was in class and asked could Carl please look after him for an hour or two at most, he had rather reluctantly agreed. She'd been so relieved that Carl knew it had been the right thing to do, but now, several hours later as he anxiously awaited the boy's arrival, Carl was seriously questioning the wisdom of his earlier actions. It wasn't usually that hard - theirs were a good bunch of kids - but this time, there was a problem.

It all started with a note thrown at his feet in the middle of a gig. This in and of itself wasn't that unusual - a number of fans sent him and Pete their requests or numbers this way - so he thought nothing of it as he bent and retrieved the message. He quickly unfolded the scrap of paper and glanced at the words. It was a request, and a rather common one at that, but for some reason, this time it really bothered him. He started to refold it, but suddenly a familiar hand snatched it away.
